Description

Ultimate Baal Challenge (UBC) requires the player to defeat Baal with almost all of their statistics reset, similar to having a new game.

It is highly recommended to do this challenge very early, as one of the first challenges you do, as it unlocks several sources of power and GP after completing the first UBC.

Unlock Condition

Defeat Tyrant Overlord Baal.

Restrictions

The challenge resets your GP purchases, unspent GP, CP, and your rebirth multipliers back to their starting values. One-time GP bonuses such as Improved Next At are not kept but can be bought again during the challenge (see Improved Next At for Challenges). Pets don't contribute stats multis to your God, nor do they give a Pet Rebirth Multiplier. You can still train them to improve your campaign rewards. Your Total Might is reset to 0.

Almost all challenge rewards work in UBC, with the exception of DRC. You will however still receive ghost-might from any completed CBC.

Clone dividers, training caps, and base divinity generator (Highest God and NDC) stats are kept.

During the challenge, Lucky Draws cannot be opened, but they can still be collected. Ad points can still be used, but only for the following: Divinity, offline creation speed boost, food, and Lucky Draws.

After finishing the challenge, you will get everything other than your multipliers back.

All pet equipment bonuses are capped at 50%.

All Dungeon runs and Tavern quests are cancelled when starting this challenge.

Rewards

Challenge Points: 25
God Power Reward: 100 (plus any GP not spent on Pet Food during the UBC)
Statistics Multi: 500,000

The first UBC completed permanently unlocks UBv2 and the crystal factory.

The stats increases of P. Baal v2 and on will be reduced by 1% per UBC completed, to a maximum of 50%. Since this stacks with each successive P.Baal, this reward can get VERY dramatic.

Each P.Baal grows in power by a factor of 100 - n, where n equals the number of times you completed a UBC, e.g. No UBC completed: 100- 0 = 100x power each P. Baal, 16 UBC's completed: 100 - 16 = 84x power each P.Baal.

To see the true power of UBCs calculated out see the attached spreadsheet. Make a copy to utilize the "custom reduction" column: P.Baal Powerlevels

Note: UBC reward does not affect the power of P. Baals after v150 (the max P. Baal is extended through the RTI challenge)

Recommended Stats

You will likely do one of these early on to unlock the crystal factory. Don't worry about having any other challenges done, except maybe a DPC or GPC prior to doing your first one.

Subsequent UBCs benefit immensely from 1KC, AAC, TGSC, and CBC, as well as the upgrade Improved Next At For Challenges. Without some or all of these, UBCs will likely slow you down more than they will help in the long run.

PUC also has a large impact on the completion time of UBCs by giving effectively unlimited unleash time, though it is generally advised not to wait on clearing PUCs before starting to clear the full set of UBCs.

Your speed is heavily dependent on pets, since they will be your main source of GP. Having Nightmare and FSM , as well as having Clam (and possibly Cardboard Box) unlocked will increase your GP income.

Note: In order for its buff/debuff to average positive, Cardboard needs a CL of 30.

Strategy - First UBC

Doing a UBC as one of your first challenges, you will not have many other challenges done or strong pets. Because of this, it is very common for this challenge to take you several days. This is okay, and very worth it.

Your pets should be sent to the God Power Campaign, equipped with any sticks you may have crafted. Your GP should be spent on the 35% Creation Speed purchase, buying around 70-105% total. Any additional GP should be spent on Building Speed to help build monuments faster.

One very important thing is to get max clones. You will reset back to only having 1000 clones, and you should focus on creating clones and sending them to powerful monsters that will kill them off. For every 20 clones created/killed your clone cap in the following rebirth will increase by 1 (up to a max of 99,999).

Once you unlock monuments, and later div gen, building should be focused on Mighty Statues and Mystic Gardens (and their upgrades). This will help build your rebirth multis and let you reach higher gods.

Strategy - Midgame UBC

Note: This strategy is for mid to late-game UBCs. The first UBC recommended to be done early on will be nearly identical to your original climb to Baal.
You should generally wait to do your second UBC until you have your one-caps. Several challenges, such as 1KC, GSC, and CBC, help with UBCs; it's generally best to have at least 5 CBCs completed to help with unleash times. You should also have unlocked FSM and Nightmare to uncap and double GP gains. Unlocking Clam is also very beneficial as it can double the GP gains from a single dungeon.

Your main goal during the early stages of a UBC is to get more clones and unlock monuments. In early rebirths, this will involve killing all of your clones as fast and as often as you can. You should be running GP camps and GP-producing dungeons (SY D1, WT D1, Volcano D2, and if possible Mountain D3 with rebirth bacon). GP should be spent to get an additional 30k-40k clones and on Build Speed. GP should not be spent on CS or on CC - you can use the 3GP clone buy to max your clones each rebirth instead. 1 to 2 hour runs are optimal. Most early runs should be 1h or 1.5h for Might unlock, and extend to 1.5h-2h as you are able to build monuments. Only build the first two monuments (and their upgrades) and the Godly Statue monument (and upgrades).

Addition: Once your max clones are at 12000 or higher, instead of buying 10000 clones for 25 GP directly, it is cheaper to buy 99999 clones for 3 GP and kill them immediately afterwards. For example, if your max clones is 20000, and you buy 99999 for 3 GP, this gives you 1000 extra max clones after your next rebirth, and killing them gives you the same, so that's an extra 2000 max clones at the start of the next rebirth. If you invest 24 GP that way, this gives 16000 extra max clones, which is already far better than 10000 for 25 GP. Just make sure you don't exceed your max clones that way, but usually, you won't need more than 100000 max clones for this challenge anyways. Over the whole challenge, this can easily save you 50 or more GP. This strategy is best done right before you rebirth.

Note

  • This is part of a set of challenges that will improve Wolf item campaign bonus by +10% each (125% total bonus after completing them all).
    • You Need to finish 50 UBC
