# Monuments

**Monuments** are unlocked once Diana is defeated. Each Monument built increases one or more stat multipliers. Each Monument also has a corresponding **Upgrade** that greatly increases the stat multiplier of that Monument and also causes it to increase your rebirth multipliers. Monument Upgrades are unlocked by defeating Freya.

Monument multipliers stack additively. For example, if one monument multiplies a stat by 1 + 200 and another one multiplies it by 1 + 400, the total multiplier is 601.

The first two monuments help most with your current stats and multis. The further down the list of monuments you go, the more they help with rebirth multis and stats after you rebirth.

## Costs

### Cost calculation

The second of any given Monument costs 5x as much as the first. If we take the cost of the second Monument and use it as the Base cost **B**, we can calculate the cost of the **n**^{th} Monument with this formula:

Cost = B * ( n - 1 )

Example:

- The first Mighty Statue costs 2,000 Stone.
- The second Mighty Statue will cost 5 x 2,000 Stone = 10,000 Stone
- We use 10,000 Stone as the base cost to calculate the cost of the 27th Mighty Statue using the formula above:

10,000 Stone * (27 - 1) = 260,000 Stone

### Total Cost calculation

Using some math, you can calculate the total cost for **n** monuments:

Total Cost = B * ( n * ( n - 1 ) + 0.4) / 2

Example:

- Using 10,000 Stone as the base cost to calculate the cost of 27 Mighty Statues using the formula above:

10,000 Stone * (27 * (27- 1) + 0.4) / 2 = 3,512,000 Stone

This is a type of problem that may be familiar to math nerds from an urban legend about a famous mathematician being asked to add all the numbers from 1 to 100. He supposedly did it in seconds because he realized he could split it up as 100 + 1 = 101, 99 + 2 = 101, 98 + 3 = 101, etc. until they met in the middle at 50 + 51, making 50 pairs of 101, or a total of 5050. The same basic method works for any set of numbers where the difference between each term and the next is the same (an arithmetic progression), and can be generalized as "(first term + last term) x (number of terms / 2)". In this case, we want to add up the costs from the second monument to the last one, so our first term is B, our last term is the cost of monument number n (B * (n - 1)), and the number of terms is n - 1. That gives us
(B + B * (n - 1)) * (n - 1) / 2 which can be simplified to B * ( n * ( n - 1 )) / 2 However, we left out the cost of the first monument because it didn't fit the formula, so we need to add that back in. That's another |

### Build Time Calculation

The calculation takes base build time **T _{b}** and multiplies it by the

**n**

^{th}Monument. It then multiplies by 1000 and divides by the clones on the monument (

**C**). Finally, it divides by build speed (

**B**).

A build speed of 100% (i.e. no bonuses) would mean **B _{s}** = 1. With a 35% bonus,

### Black Hole

Boosts Physical, Mystic, Battle and Creating. Base multiplier of 100,000,000.

In addition, each hour, has a 25% chance per Black Hole to generate 1 God Power, maxed at 100% with 4 black holes. If you have done any Black Hole Challenges, you have an additional 5% chance to earn an extra GP, capped by either your BHC count or number of Black Holes, whichever is lower. This reaches a maximum of 3 GP/hr with 40 Black Holes built and 40 BHC completed. After completing all BHCs, it is possible to increase this cap further by spending Overflow Points.

Online GP earnings are not capped. The offline gain is capped at 12 hours, regardless of your BHC count.

Each completed BHC also reduces the cost for Black Holes and their upgrades by 2%, to a maximum 80% reduction at 40. This makes the cumulative cost of **n** Black Holes much more complicated to calculate than for other Monuments because of the need to account for rounding, and it's best done with a spreadsheet or other syntax-enabled calculator. Replace **BHC** with your completed Black Hole Challenge count, and **n** with the desired number of Black Holes.

## Monument Upgrades

Monument Upgrades are unlocked upon defeating Freya, and have two effects. First, monument upgrades give a massive multiplicative boost to the current stats given by the relevant monument; second, they are crucial for your rebirth multipliers, granting large boosts. This rebirth multiplier will apply to the same stats that the monument impacts: a Mystic Garden upgrade affects the mystic multiplier, while the Godly Statue and Temple of God upgrades will affect every stats' rebirth multiplier.

### Multiplier Formula

The formula for how much the next upgrade will increase the multiplier on a monument's *current* effect is:

5 + 10n

So, the first upgrade multiplies the power of a monument by 15, then adds 25 , 35, and so on to that factor with each upgrade.

The total multiplier given by upgrading from from 0 to n is thus:

5 n (n + 2)

### Rebirth Formula

The formula for a given monument's impact on your *rebirth* multiplier is:

(Monument's base multiplier) * (# of monuments made) * (upgrade factor)

The base multiplier is the equivalent boost without upgrades for each monument, as listed above, and cannot be changed. The *upgrade factor* is listed on the tooltip for upgrades, and grows by 0.25 with each upgrade, up to a cap (see below).

- Example

Say you have made 20 godly statues, with 10 upgrades. Then for all four stats, the rebirth multiplier will be multiplied by a factor of:

(Godly statue base multiplier of 200) * (20 monuments made) * ( 2.5 factor from 10 upgrades) = 10,000x your original rebirth multipliers

### Upgrade Caps

While upgrades can increase the *current* stats of a monument indefinitely, each monument has a limit on how many upgrades will affect your *rebirth* multiplier.

The upgrade factor starts at 0 and increases by 0.25 for each upgrade. The default maximum is set to a factor of 5, which means at default, only the first 20 upgrades of a monument will count towards your rebirth multipliers. For every P.Baal you defeat, the limit is increased by 1, or 4 upgrades. This resets to the default cap of 5 after rebirth.

This limit is also *permanently* increased by 4% for each [P. Baal Challenge] completed.

Be aware that there is no default limit on building more upgrades than the cap. Use of the "Next At" option may help with this.

### Cost Calculation

For Upgrades, you can treat the cost for the first upgrade as the base cost. The 2nd upgrade will always have the same cost as the first, and from there on, the cost is equal to (Base Cost) * (level - 1)^2. The tables below will outline the cost for the first few upgrades.

The formula for total cost of level 1 to n upgrades is:
