				A pet created out of water, imbued with life by two alchemists. It seems risky to create it but it might become the most powerful pet ever! Someone said, that alchemy is all about equal exchange, but who cares about it, do your alchemists want to create the strongest pet ever, or not?

Special Ability

Upon reaching v3, all non-boss enemies in dungeons will suffer (1 + Water/500)% of their max HP as damage every turn, where Water is Undine's Water element level. This is upgraded to (3 + Water/400)% upon reaching v4, and (5 + Water/300)% upon reaching her final form. The damage is capped at 10% of enemy max HP in all forms.

The Quest For Undine

Disclaimer

Undine is a long and difficult quest that tests your ability to gather resources from dungeons. It is Highly Advised that you look through the List sections at the end of this guide and feel confident that you can gather this number of materials (gather as many as you can before starting the quest!). It is also advised that you feel confident in your ability to grow a pet with -33,333 total growth into as high of a positive value as you can get.

Also keep in mind that even though only two alchemists are technically required to start the quest, it is highly advised to start the quest with many more than that. The more alchemists you have, the better.

Creation Process

If you want to create Undine, you should stock up on a lot of materials in preparation. During the first step, the two Alchemists you use to create the Failed Undine will receive severe penalties. In order to mitigate the damage, make sure you have the items below on hand:

• 1 Phoenix Feather
• 25 Iron Bars
• 30 Holy Water
• 50 T2 Materials, of the same element as your 2nd alchemist (Iron Bar for Neutral, Fire Stone for Fire, etc.)

Be sure to get your hurt alchemists back up to full strength before continuing with Undine herself. You will need all the Alchemical help you can get!

Before continuing and giving Undine all of her Upgrades, it is advised you follow this table and reach the specified Growth first, depending on where you are in the process. This will allow you to reach her Evo Growth requirement without having to have a 55K GC.

1st Step

V0 and Fixing the Alchemists

The sorry state of a failed experiment. It was supposed to be a very powerful Undine, but look at it now. But it is too late to give up now! It just needs a powerful soul. Does a shadow clone have a soul? Unlocking the Undine: To unlock Undine, you need to use 2 Alchemists to create a Failed Undine. Doing so will cause one Alchemist (the one you click 'Finish' on) to lose an arm, reducing their crafting speed by 50%. The other Alchemist will lose its body, making it unable to do anything, not even feeding. You must craft a replacement arm and body for them to get them back in working order. Upgrading the Undine: For the first upgrade you will need to have an Alchemist craft a Water Soul, and give this to Undine. Water Soul Recipe Item Amount Needed to Craft Nevermelting Ice 30 Shadow Essence 1 Phoenix Feather 1 Shadow Essence can not be created, but has to be gained from fighting the usual boss in the Newbie Dungeon all while having an alive Undine in your party. You will need to train your Failed Undine a tiny bit in the Dungeon before she can stay alive at the boss. You can either equip her with a training sword for this, or assign some Free Exp to level her up.

3rd Step

Undine has now two souls infused and isn't totally useless anymore, but the two souls are fighting each other so she can't unlock her true potential. Upgrading the Undine: For the second upgrade you will need to have an Alchemist craft an Improved Water Soul, and give this to Undine. Now your Undine looks almost decent and doesn't need to hide anymore. But wasn't she supposed to be very powerful? Her lifeforce doesn't look too strong yet. You need a real soul of Undine! Upgrading the Undine: For the third upgrade you will need to have an Alchemist craft a Soulless Soul, and give this to Undine. Upgrading the Undine: For the fifth and final upgrade you will need to have an Alchemist craft a Magic Soul of Undine, and give this to Undine. Magic Soul of Undine Recipe Item Amount Needed to Craft Soul of Undine 1 Magic Shadow Essence 5 Nevermelting Ice 500 Phoenix Feather 50 Magic Herb 250 Magic Ore 25 Magic Fire Stone 25 Magic Feather 25 Magic Wood 25 Total Cost Base Items Total Amount Needed Magic Shadow Essence 5 Nevermelting Ice 970 Phoenix Feather 91 Magic Herb 300 Magic Ore 30 Magic Fire Stone 30 Magic Feather 30 Magic Wood 30 Shadow Essence 24 Ice Block 20 Holy Water 20 Magic Shadow Essence can only be acquired by running the Newbie Dungeon while bringing Shadow Essence in your equipped items. This will make the boss of the Newbie Grounds a lot stronger, and drop a Magic Shadow Essence. It is recommended to bring Lucky Talismans and/or Rogues with you while you are farming this, to increase the drop chance. See just below for info on this boss. Super Rogue Shadow Clone (SRSC) Super Rogue Shadow Clone (SRSC) is a special boss that replaces the newbie ground boss if your party items include at least 1 Shadow Essence which is not consumed. Shadow Essence is obtained by defeating the newbie grounds boss with Undine in the party. SRSC is roughly as strong as the Scrapyard D2-5 boss. It drops Magic Shadow Essence with a base drop rate of 50%. This drop rate can be increased with Rogues and Lucky Talismans. Be sure to bring along enough Rogues (usually 1 or 2) to buff that rate to at least 100% to speed up the process. Magic Shadow Essence is used during the creation and improvement of the pet Undine Note: Undine does not need to be in the party for SRSC to spawn. You do, however, need to bring regular Shadow Essence (the non-magical variant) to get SRSC to spawn. Stat Value HP 50,000 Attack 350 Defense 350 Speed 300 Elements 200 for all Super Rogue Shadow Clone has the following Abilities: MultiTargetMagic("Elemental Storm"): Attacks 3 times per action. Damage multi is approximately 0.35x. Applies Burn2 to all pets hit by its attacks. Burn2 deals 5% of the afflicted pet's maximum hp at the start of every action they do. This team was able to kill SRSC by turn 17 with no phoenix feathers used This team was able to kill SRSC by turn 22 with 1 feather

Strategy

Undine's ability has many properties that works very well in specific situations, and it work on Infinity Towers.

• Indirect damage - can ignore reflected damage in Neutral Tower
• Unavoidable - can ignore Dodge chance in Wind Tower
• Damage based on max HP - can ignore High Defense in Earth Tower
• Guaranteed Area of Effect damage - since there is no random target, and you know the enemy's stats in Fire Tower, you can see if your Undine ability is enough to finish them after your damage dealers attacked. And it gives you an option to adjust their gear and trade Attack for Speed.
• ... Water Tower? Something? Ok, nothing special, normal battle for Undine.
